Neal Home Invites the Community to Retirement Celebration of Joyce Eckelbarger
— Neal Home is celebrating a significant leadership transition as longtime Executive Director Joyce Eckelbarger prepares to retire after sixteen years of
dedicated service and Mackenzie Danely steps into the role of Director.
For more than two decades, Eckelbarger has provided leadership, compassion, and a deep commitment to the residents of Neal Home. During her years of service, she has helped maintain the warm, caring, and home-like environment that has long defined the organization. Joyce has been actively involved in her local community for many years, particularly with Revolution Community Church.
“Joyce has given so much of herself to Neal Home and the people who call it home,” said Bruce Vernon, Board President. “For sixteen years, her compassion, leadership, and dedication have touched countless lives. We are incredibly grateful for her service and the lasting impact she has made on Neal Home, our residents, and their families.”
As Neal Home celebrates Eckelbarger’s years of service, the organization is also pleased to welcome Mackenzie Danely as its new Director.
Danely is a 2025 graduate of Indiana University Kokomo, where she earned a degree in psychology. Her educational background, enthusiasm, and commitment to serving others provide a strong foundation for building meaningful relationships with residents, families,
staff, and the community.
“We are excited to welcome Mackenzie to Neal Home,” said Connie Tribbett, Board Secretary. “Her energy and enthusiasm, combined with her commitment to serving others, make her a wonderful fit for the organization. We look forward to watching her build on the strong foundation established at Neal Home while bringing her own ideas and leadership to the role.”
Danely will continue Neal Home’s longstanding commitment to providing a supportive and welcoming environment for its residents while honoring the traditions and values that have guided the organization for more than a century.
The community is invited to join Neal Home for a special reception honoring Eckelbarger’s retirement and welcoming Danely.
