Logansport Parks and Recreation Board Meeting

The Logansport Parks & Recreation Board has changed the regular Parks Board meeting date from May 14th to Wednesday, May 21st at 5:30 p.m. The change was made to accommodate Parks Board members personal schedules.

All meetings are open to the public and will be held at the Council Chambers in the City Building (located at 601 E. Broadway). The meeting is also live streamed at: https://www.youtube.com/@cityoflogansportindiana4363/streams

The agenda will include old business, which is the Parks Board’s renewal of the lease for Tony Palmer, dba Sports Hideout Foundation; AND, Parks Board Resolution 25-05 to support the effort to submit a Land & Water Conservation Fund grant application for up to $1 million to renovate Riverside Park Playground, accessibility, parking, and river access. The public is encouraged to attend to share their comments on the current plans for Phase 2 Riverside Park improvements.

In new business, the Parks Board will consider Parks and Golf surplus equipment, a vending machine proposal from Ana Ortiz and an application for a 3-way alcohol permit for Dykeman Park Golf Course.

Updates will also be shared on the Dunwoody Park Transfer, the Heritage Park Fountain, and the ADA Assessment. The updated logo will also be presented. Updates from staff will include summer programming, security camera installation, getting the pool ready for opening day, and the Dykeman Park Golf Course Clubhouse Project and additional work being done there.
