Nikki Malott to host “Township Talk: Listening First Launch” to Kick Off Community Conversations & Campaign Announcement

Logansport, IN — [2-17-26]— Community members are invited to attend Township Talk: Listening First Launch, a public kickoff event where Nikki Malott will officially announce her candidacy for Eel Township Trustee and launch a 30-day community listening tour focused on hearing directly from residents.

The event will take place Thursday, Feb. 26  at 4:30 PM at the Logansport Public Library.

Rather than a traditional campaign rally centered around speeches, Malott is hosting a community-centered event designed around conversation and listening.

“This campaign is about people first,” said Malott. “Before making promises or talking about solutions, I want to listen to what residents actually need, what they’re concerned about, and what they want to see improved in Eel Township.”

The launch will begin the official start of Malott’s “Listening First” Approach, a goal-driven outreach initiative branded like “100 Conversations in 30 Days.” During the tour, Malott will host informal community roundtables and meet with residents one-on-one to better understand priorities such as township assistance services, accessibility, community support resources, and proactive solutions that help prevent crisis before it happens.

Residents attending the launch event can expect a welcoming environment with opportunities to meet Nikki along with Sue Shannon and Bailey Morales (both are running for the Eel Township Advisory Board), participate in informal discussions, share ideas, and ask questions.
