Talking Books

Talking Books at the Black Dog with Jan Newton is set for Tuesday, July 23rd at 6 p.m. Entitled The Pre- Raphaelites and Their World, the program reviews books on these artists and poets of the Victorian Age.  The Pre-Raphaelites were the rebels of the art world at the time.  Reviled for their scandalous behaviour and lush painting and poetry, they revitalized the Art and Literature, ushered in the Arts and Crafts Movement, and created lasting images of beauty.  Their lives, like their Art and Writings,  were turbulent, romantic, and fascinating and lasting.  Newton explores their impact on Art , their entangled lives, and their commitment to beauty.  For  more information visit Black Dog Coffee or Black Dog Face Book pages. or call 574-722-4133.
