Free Carousel Rides

This Thanksgiving weekend, the Cass County Community Foundation is giving families one more reason to be thankful—and a chance to make a few new memories along the way!

Through a special “Thanks-for-Giving” Grant, the Community Foundation is covering the operating expenses of the beloved Cass County Carousel on Friday, November 27, and Saturday, November 28, allowing everyone to enjoy FREE carousel rides throughout both afternoons.

For generations, the historic Denzel Carousel has held a special place in the hearts of Cass County families. From the excitement of choosing just the right horse to the thrill of reaching for the brass ring, a ride on the carousel is a cherished tradition that connects generations.

“If you grew up in Logansport or Cass County, chances are you have wonderful memories of riding the Denzel Carousel and trying to grab that brass ring,” said CCCF President Deanna Crispen. “Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the blessings of family, friends, and community. We could not think of a better way to celebrate than to give families an opportunity to spend time together, share a little laughter and create memories of their own. And what better way to say thank you to the community that gives so generously throughout the year?”

The Carousel will be open Friday, November 27, and Saturday, November 28, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. All rides during those hours will be free, thanks to the Community Foundation’s special holiday grant.

Whether it is a child’s very first ride or a grandparent sharing a favorite childhood tradition, the Foundation hopes the weekend will bring smiles, laughter, and a little holiday magic to families throughout Cass County.
