Lewis Cass School Board Meeting and Public Hearing

NOTICE OF HEARINGS Pursuant to Indiana Code § 20-26-7-37 and Indiana Code § 6-1.1-20-3.5, notice is hereby given that the Board of School Trustees of the Lewis Cass Schools will meet at 5:00 p.m. on October 29, 2026 and at 6:00 p.m. On November 11, 2026, at 100 S Main St., Walton, Indiana, to hold public hearings. On October 29, 2026, the Board will hold a public hearing to discuss and hear objections and support regarding the proposed renovation of and improvements to facilities throughout the School Corporation, including site improvements and the purchase of equipment, buses, technology and real estate, including but not limited to the Sara S. Whitcomb Estate property containing approximately 18 acres and currently part of Cass County Parcel Number 09-10-36-200-010.000-020 (Alt. Parcel 01709046010) (collectively, the “Project”). On November 11, 2026, the Board will hold a second public hearing to discuss and hear objections and support regarding the proposed Project and will also consider the adoption of a resolution making a preliminary determination to enter into a lease agreement relating to the Project and to issue bonds to finance the Project.
