Utility Service Board Special Meeting and Public Hearing

A public hearing will be held during a special meeting of the  Utility Service Board on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. and will be held in the LU Board Room, located on the third floor of the Logansport City Building.

The public hearing is for the preliminary engineering report (PER) for the drinking water improvements project. The PER is available for viewing in the CEO/Superintendent’s Office, 601 E. Broadway #101, Logansport, Indiana.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING LOGANSPORT UTILITIES PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT (PER) TO OBTAIN ASSISTANCE FROM THE DRINKING WATER STATE REVOLVING FUND (DWSRF) LOAN PROGRAM

Logansport Utilities (LU) will hold a public hearing at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023, in the LU Board Room located on the third floor of the Logansport City Building at 601 E. Broadway; Logansport, Indiana. LU’s engineering consultant, Lochmueller Group, will present the recommended upgrades to LU’s drinking water infrastructure, which will include watermain replacements, hydrant replacements, a leaks report, metering equipment upgrades, and booster pump station improvements as described in the PER. The project will be funded through a DWSRF loan.

At this hearing, there will be the opportunity for questions and comments from the public. Participation is welcomed and encouraged. If special assistance is required at the meeting, please contact Rita Berkshire at 574-753- 5030.
