Rules and Regulations

The Great Grown-up Spelling Bee is an adult spelling bee with all proceeds going to benefit the Literacy Volunteers of Cass County, a non-profit, all volunteer organization.

This is a written spelling bee. The Bee Master will give team members a word, and team members may consult with each other before writing the word. Each word is written and scored before going to the next word. Words are taken from the junior and senior level Hoosier Spell Bowl list.

Each team will consist of three members and one alternate. (Listing the alternate is optional.) Spelling bee officials must approve any changes in the team after the deadline.

Entry forms must be filled out completely and mailed to LVCC, 600 Regency Place, Logansport, IN 46947 or sent via messenger on our Facebook page. Deadline team name in the program is October 16, 2025.

Entry fee is $75.00 per team, payable to Literacy Volunteers of Cass County.
Payment may be made at the door on the night of the event.

If you are not entering a team, but are making a donation, please indicate on the team entry form if we may use your donation to sponsor a not-for-profit team in your honor.

The Bee will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025 @ 7:00 p.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church.
