PUBLIC HEARING: Chase Road Super-Voluntary Annexation

NOTICE OF HEARING ON A PROPOSED ORDINANCE FOR THE SUPER-VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY BY THE CITY OF LOGANSPORT, INDIANA

Chase Road Super-Voluntary Annexation

Interested persons are hereby notified that on Monday, October 2, 2023, at 6:25 p.m. local time, the Common Council of the City of Logansport, Indiana (the “Council”), will hold a public hearing at the City Hall Council Chambers, Third Floor, 601 Broadway Street, Logansport, IN 46947, upon a proposed ordinance for the super-voluntary annexation of territory (“Annexation Ordinance”) into the City of Logansport.

The Annexation Ordinance upon which the hearing will be held, Ordinance 2023-19, provides for the super-voluntary annexation of approximately 59.728 acres of land generally located southwest of the intersection of Chase Road and Davis Road (“Annexation Property”). The owner of the Annexation Property has requested the annexation of its property by Logansport.

The proposed Annexation Ordinance, the legal description of the Annexation Property, and a map of the Annexation Property are available for inspection by the public during regular business hours at the Logansport City Hall.

The City is authorized to undertake this Annexation in accordance with Indiana Code § 36-4-3. At such hearing, all persons interested shall have an opportunity to testify as to the proposed annexation. Such hearing may be adjourned to a later date or dates, and following such hearing the City may adopt the Annexation Ordinance as introduced, or as may be modified.
