Light Up Logansport

The City of Logansport, Logansport Parks & Recreation, Logan’s Landing, and the Cass County Community Foundation are excited to announce plans for an even more expanded celebration to kick-off the 2025 holiday season. Plans include the community Christmas tree lighting, new holiday lighting at Iron Horse Park, vendors, music, and more.

Events are set to begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28th with a free movie matinee at the State Theatre.

Vendors will be operating and selling food and crafts in the area of the Depot. (The press release and event submission we received listed 4 p.m. as the start time, but recent posts promoting the event have indicated that vendors will be on site from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2025).

The annual “Light-Up Logansport Parade will step off at 6:00 p.m. Immediately following the parade, Dan Anderson will be pulling the switch to light the community Christmas tree in memory of his father, Mike Anderson, at Iron Horse Park. Santa will also be present and greeting good girls and boys in the Depot with special Christmas ornaments while they last.

The parade will begin at the traditional point on 8th and E. Broadway but will end at 4th & Market Street with Santa, Mrs. Claus, the Elves and even the Grinch. Parade viewers should make note of the new end location. Plans also include Civic Players of Logansport leading Christmas carols, and Junior Civic Theater performers.
