The City of Logansport, Logansport Parks & Recreation, Logan’s Landing, and the Cass County Community Foundation are excited to announce plans for an expanded celebration to kick-off the 2024 holiday season. Plans include a new community Christmas tree, new holiday lighting at Iron Horse Park, vendors, music, and more.
Events are set to begin at 2:00PM on Friday, November 29th with a free movie matinee at the State Theatre. Vendors will be operating and selling food and crafts in the area of the Logansport Farmer’s Market beginning at 4:00 p.m. that day. The annual “Light-Up Logansport Parade will step off at 6:00 p.m. followed by the first ever tree lighting ceremony at Iron Horse Park immediately following the parade.
The parade will begin at the traditional point on 8th and E. Broadway but will end at the Heritage Park with Santa, Mrs. Claus, the Elves and even the Grinch. Parade viewers should make note of the new end location. Plans also include Civic Players of Logansport leading Christmas carols, and Junior Civic Theater performers.

– We’re calling on church groups, clubs, food and drink establishments to provide delightful treats. Imagine sipping hot cocoa, savoring festive snacks, and feeling the holiday spirit. Contact Logan’s Landing Director by Nov. 5 to reserve your spot to sell your signature food or drink.
Enchanting Carolers
– Our celebration wouldn’t be complete without the sound of carolers filling the air. If you love to sing or simply enjoy the melodies of the season, we need you! Contact Logan’s Landing Director by Nov 5 so we can get you on our schedule.
Twinkling Lights and Festive Atmosphere
– Iron Horse Park will come alive with thousands of twinkling lights while you experience the magic of Christmas when we light our magnificent 30-foot Christmas Tree for the first time in memory of Mike Anderson.
Meet Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus
– Our jolly friends from the North Pole will be there to listen to wishes, share laughter, and spread joy in the hearts of children.
Heated Tents for Cozy Gatherings
– Don’t worry about the chill! Our heated tents provide a cozy spot to sip, savor, and mingle.
