Area Five Agency Head Start Preschool Open House

Area Five Head Start Preschool is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. We invite the public to our open house day with two times on Monday, March 3rd from one is from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and the other is from 4:00-6:00 p.m. This event will take place in our Head Start classroom building located at 600 Regency Place, Logansport.  During open house times families will have the opportunity to see our Head Start classroom, meet the teachers, learn more about the Head Start program. Staff will be available on-site to take applications with families all day. No appointment necessary.

Head start is a free preschool program for children ages 3-5 years old. We accept children regardless of race, gender, color, creed, national origin or special needs. Eligibility for enrollment is based on the child’s age and family’s income. Our curriculum is aligned with Indiana’s Early Learning Development Framework and Indiana Academic Standards as well as the National Early Learning Outcomes Framework. In addition, Head Start offers breakfast and lunch each day, developmental assessments, individualized teaching, opportunities for parents to be involved in the program, resources and support to families, school readiness skills, and so much more.
