DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNLMRC 2026 Tour of Mow Fun:\n\nWe will be heading to a new to us venue this year to celebrate Independence Day; Plank Hill Park in Twelve Mile, Indiana for the 64th running of their annual Twelve Mile 500 Lawnmower Race on July 4th, along with two action packed days of circle track NLMRC points racing!\n\nTwelve Mile is a quiet, yet quaint little racing town that is nestled approximately 30 minutes north of Kokomo, IN. The crowds come out in droves every year to cheer on mower racers from near and far competing in the their annual Twelve Mile 500 races. Just a few years ago, the local Lion’s Club decided that they would like to bring in more lawn mower racers from all around the country to not just take on the oldest lawn mower race in US history, but to compete on an all new oval track!\n\nSince building the new oval track, it seems that there hasn’t been much buzz to draw the racers in. Upon looking at the track last year in person, and checking out their operation and willingness to do whatever it takes to give us raceable surfaces, we decided that we would definitely step up to help them turn their mower count around this year, and help build mower racing back up within this racing community. So please make it a point to join us July 4th weekend for an action packed lined up!\nFriday evening will be mower racing on the oval track. Saturday midday will be the 64th annual Twelve Mile 500 races. We will then transition back to the oval track for a night filled with side by side, on the edge of seats mower racing. All of that will be polished off with a huge fireworks show in the park! You definitely will not want to miss this one!\n\nThe new oval track is just short of being 1/8 mile, it is a dirt surface, so it can get a little dusty, but rest assured that the track crew works very hard to keep the dust down. We have heard reviews from many who raced there, they love the track and the racing that it provides!\n\nYou may dry camp at Plank Hill Park. The park has full bath houses for your use.
