Walk and Wags
Be A Humane Hero for Local Animals in Need!
2017 Walk & Wags
Grab your sneakers, your friends, and your family (both two- and four-legged) for the Gleaner Life Insurance Society Community Arbor # 769 Walk & Wags dog walk!
Help us bring awareness to the reality of animal abuse and neglect and what WE can do to prevent it from happening in our community!
Walk & Wags: Humane Heroes will bring awareness to the cruelty and neglect facing many animals every day.
After your walk, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in Humane Hero activities. These activities are fun and educational that are designed to empower everyday citizens to help animals in need.
Complete activities to earn your Humane Hero Cape and Certification (signed by Logansport Mayor, Dave Kitchell) along with the right to slide down a giant inflatable slide!
Individuals and families are invited to bring their friendly furry companions to enjoy the walk.
The event will be filled with activities for children and adults to enjoy and a colorful cast of superhero characters to interact with and also great music. Participants are encouraged to dress themselves (and/or their pets) as their favorite superhero! Did we mention that your dog can join in on the fun?!
We are also requesting donations of food and pet items. All donations will go to the Humane Society and Caws for Paws.
