National Day of Prayer Observance
LOGANSPORT, IN – This year’s National Day of Prayer observances are not being canceled or delayed because of gathering restrictions due to the coronavirus. In lieu of a local event, the Cass County National Day of Prayer Task Force invites you to participate in the live broadcast of the National Congressional Observance of the National Day of Prayer on the evening of May 7 from 8:00–10:00 p.m. This broadcast will be accessible on the www.nationaldayofprayer.org website, on God TV (check with your TV service provider) and possibly Facebook Live.
The National Day of Prayer is a vital part of our heritage. Since the first call to prayer in 1775 when the Continental Congress asked the colonies to pray for wisdom in forming a nation, the call to prayer has continued through our history. It is a day that transcends differences, bringing together citizens from all backgrounds.
This year’s focus is PRAY GOD’S GLORY ACROSS THE EARTH and based on Habakkuk 2:14: “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” Be sure to mark your calendars now to join with others in prayer on May 7, our National Day of Prayer.
