Local silversmith Charity Musselman will host a jewelry class at Legacy & Black Dog Coffee Shop on Saturday, September 5 from 1 to 4p.m. Students will learn how to make silver or copper spinner rings and take home their work. MS. Mussleman has been handcrafting fine jewelry for over five years and has previously taught classes at Legacy. Her work is showcased at Legacy and includes rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. She uses silver, gold, copper, beads, and gemstones to create her fashion pieces.
Charity says she got the idea to do classes from customers who wanted to learn how to make their own jewelry. The spinner rings students will make are displayed at Legacy and pictured on Legacy’s Facebook page. Class cost is $60.00 for silver ring and $40.00 for copper ring. A $20.00 deposit is required at time of sign up. All supplies for the class are covered in the fee. Class size is limited to 15 students. Those interested can reserve a space by calling Legacy at 574-722-4133 or stopping by the store at 116 S.6th Street, Logansport. Information on the class is also available on the Legacy or Black Dog Coffee Facebook pages.
