The Monday and Thursday Class 8:00 a.m.- 9:00 a.m. is a strength training exercise class for older adults (men and women) of all physical ability. Most of the bodybuilding exercises are performed seated in chairs with a set of light dumbbell weights with participants following along to a live instructor. There’s no dancing, aerobics or choreography to learn, and participants never have to get on the floor. We do use an exercise ball but those are available to borrow if you do not have your own. We also use light weights which are also available to borrow. We encourage you to modify all exercises for your comfort level.
These workouts are for persons with all abilities. They are completed while seated, although there is a portion of them where participants stand up to do lunges, squats and balance exercises. However, there are modifications for everyone, and safety is stressed. As with all of our programs, these classes are free to the public and held in our meeting room. We have a very loyal group who would welcome you! We have been in existence for over 6 years.
