CANCELLED: BUILD Beginners Yoga Series
Have you been wanting to try yoga but feel intimidated about how to get started? Not sure what to wear, or if you’ll know anyone? Feel like you are not coordinated, or not flexible enough?
BUILD: Yoga for Beginners is a 4 week series is for students new to Bodyworks, and for anyone wanting to slow down and focus on building the basics. The program systematically teaches you the fundamentals to advance into our FLOW, ENERGIZE and POWER classes. You will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. Emphasis is placed on your understanding, safety, and stability within each pose. Gradually these poses will be linked together into a gentle flowing sequence that leaves you empowered and excited to come back! Bonus: your first class is just $5!
Wear comfortable clothes, no socks…no shoes… and bring a yoga mat if you have one! Otherwise we have mats for rent for just $1.
You can start this series anytime during the month. Can’t make it on Wednesdays, or want to try other classes appropriate for newbies?
CURVY Yoga is a great option for beginners! Curvy Yoga is the practice of yoga combined with body acceptance paired with mindful individualized modifications for you to bring those two things into your life on a regular and doable way. This is a gentle vinyasa flow class, perfect for all levels, where we utilize yoga to listen to our bodies and promote body positive relaxation. Empowered mind, empowered body!
HEAL is a gentle & therapeutic practice for anyone seeking a slower therapeutic yoga practice – for beginners and anyone with specific health challenges or recovering from injuries or surgery.
RELAX is pairing of restorative yoga and yoga nidra – gentle stretching and relaxation combined with mediation that invites the releasing of stress and tension.
BALANCE is a yin yoga practice that is calm, quiet and powerful – with postures that gently stretch and rehabilitate connective tissue that forms our joints by relaxing the muscles deeply.
